As part of building the capacity of staff of the Agona West Municipal Assembly, a one day training workshop on Procurement Management was organized for Management Staff and some selected key officers on Tuesday, 15th June, 2021 at the Humility Lodge, Agona Swedru. The facilitator for the training workshop was Dr. Eric Akobeng of Akobeng Management and Economic Consult.

A meeting between the National Association of Local Authorities of Ghana(NALAG) President and Hon. Assembly members within the Agona West Municipality was held on thursday, 5th April 2021. Issues discussed
centred on the welfare of the Assebly Members among other important subjects.

The Central Regional Minister, Hon. Mrs. Justina Marigold Assan has paid a visit to the Omanhene of the Agona Nyarkrom Traditional Area to formally inform Nananom of her assumption of office as the Central Regional Minister. She also took the opportunity to thank Nananom for their support and prayers during her tenure as the Municipal Chief Executice for the Agona West Municipal Assembly.
The Central Regional Minister Hon. Mrs. Justina Marigold Assan who also doubles as the Acting Municipal Chief Executive for Agona West Municipal Assembly together with Executives of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) met staff of the Agona West Municipal Assembly.
The First Lady of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. Mrs Rebecca Naa Okaikor Akufo-Addo through the Rebecca Foundation once again in her benevolent works distributed assorted items and cash prizes to improve upon the livelihood of some needy and physically challenged women in the Central Region.
The event was held on 10th March, 2020 in Cape Coast to acknowledge these women during the World Women's Day Celebration.
The items included cash prizes (capital), Chest freezers, Electric Stove, Gas Burner, Blender, Kettle and other Assorted items .
In her quest to ensure Government's Open Defecation Free agenda, Hon. Justina Marigold Assan met some distinguished Champions of social change at the 7th National Advocacy on Social Norms Seminar in Accra on February 26, 2020.
The event was graced by some Ministers of state, Ambassadors of Foreign Embassies and Missions, members of the Clergy as well as some distinguished Traditional Authorities and other concerned Stakeholders in Ghana.
The roads to be asphalted include portions of the Swedru-Winneba, Swedru-Bawjiase roads, by-pass-99 junction-Mandela road, Ahmadiyya –Wawase road, Darfi and Tufuhene streets, among others.
