CHILD RIGHTS AND CHILD PROTECTION IN GHANA

Parents have been urged to keep reminding themselves of their significant role in raising a future generation who are conscious of the challenges of women and girls, who would respect one another, support one another and eschew violence in all its forms.
Addressing a group of women and girls at the congration of the Ahamadiya Muslim Women on Child Rights and Child Protection as stipulsted in the Childrens Act, at the Ahamadiya Women Conference.
To the women gathered at the conference, Mr. Collins Nyame-Amoah noted that the role of women in protecting the rights and welfare of children in our communities cannot be over emphasized.
Mr. Nyame-Amoah noted that most discrimination, stereotypes and violence perpetrated against children and girls in particular are carried out under the guise of culture and tradition.
